COVID Update 29/11/2021

Dear Parent/Carer,

As I am sure you are aware, the Prime Minister gave another announcement late last week due to potential changes regarding the pandemic and new variants that are possibly more transmissible. Following this the DFE have informed schools that rules regarding spacing, bubbles and masks will again change.

As a result we have had to outline a change that we will be making in the school from Tuesday 30th November regarding face masks.

  • As of today students will be placed back into their ‘bubbles’ as before.

  • As of Tuesday we will be asking students to wear face masks in school (apart from when eating). This will include classrooms due to the smaller class sizes we have.

  • Students will continue to be asked to wear masks when on the Chances transport.

The vast majority of students already have a mask, but if you don’t then we have ones at school that can be used (they can be collected at reception). If for any reason you do not believe that your son/daughter should be wearing a face mask due to health, or other reasons, then please let the school know and provide a reason for an exemption.

I appreciate your support in this matter. I hope you understand that as a school we have been asked to put these safety measures into place, however I hope that you will agree this is a sensible measure. As always please call the school if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind regards,

Gary Hayes - Headteacher
