SEND
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
At Chances we do our utmost to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are committed to ensuring that all students with SEND achieve their full potential in our alternative education. Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do and our nurturing environment ensures that every student receives the support they need to enable them to thrive and succeed.
We appreciate that SEND can add a layer of additional anxiety and complexity to attending secondary school. We work alongside our partner schools, parents/carers and other professionals to ensure we co-produce the appropriate provision for our students to meet their SEND needs. The mainstream schools SENDCo has the day to day responsibility for their SEND Students while on a placement at Chances.
Information about our provision for students with SEND at Chances is contained within our SEND Information Report which can be foundhere and in our SEND Policy which can be found here.
