Welcome to our School

I am very proud to be able to welcome you to our school, Chances Educational Support Services.

Chances is an OFSTED registered ‘Good’ school. We provide short-term alternative education provision for students who, for a range of reasons, are struggling in their mainstream school. After time at our provision, with the support of our great teachers and skilled youth workers, most students reintegrate back into their mainstream school successfully.

Chances is a vibrant school where students are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve endless possibilities and reach their potential. They are at the heart of every decision we make and we work hard to ensure that they are happy and confident. Students are proud of this school and their achievements here. We make sure that they are given the time, encouragement and support they need in order to re-engage with their education and begin to rebuild positive relationships again. The opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs, both now and for their future.

We believe we have developed an engaging and ambitious curriculum so that students can foster a passion for learning and curiosity that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. Staff are innovative, giving all students the opportunity to be successful and develop a wide range of skills to support a return to mainstream school. We make sure that our students receive a well-rounded but personalised curriculum where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all experience success whilst with us. 

At Chances we strongly believe that we are developing the whole child, which includes their health and mental well being. Our skilled youth workers are key in being able to do this and is what makes us so unique: we offer a high-quality education whilst promoting high standards of pastoral care. We foster creativity and imagination, so encouraging students to be self-motivated learners.

The school has a dedicated team that works hard to reach high standards in everything we do which is further embedded through our successful relationships with parents/carers and the local community.
