Celebrating Excellence and Growth
During a student's time at Chances, we actively encourage each student to continually strive to do their best and always show the best version of themselves through their work, attitude and approach to school life. We have a reward system designed to acknowledge and celebrate progress and successes.
Introducing 'C-Praises'
Students will receive ‘C-Praises’ during their time at Chances when they demonstrate excellent behaviour. Students can be awarded for achievement, in lessons or during social time, for hard work and effort, for going above and beyond normal expectations, for demonstrating manners, for resilience and sticking with something even when it is tough, for showing kindness towards others or supporting a peer. Staff try to award these inline with how their mainstream school would so that they are valued.
Students will be awarded certificates, sent letters home and finally receive a voucher to be able to spend on an award such as a book.
